- Beeb Disk Splitter
- ------------------
-
- Version 1.0
-
-
- BDS is a little application which loads in a BBC disk image and
- saves all the files as separate files on your Mac hard disk.
-
- Put your BBC disk image in the same folder as BDS and rename the file as
- 'beebdisk'. Then launch BDS and it will create all the files from the
- disk image. BDS assumes the disk image will be no larger than 80 tracks
- or 80*10*256 bytes (i.e. 204800 bytes). Extra bytes beyond this limit are
- ignored and may give unreliable output files.
-
- The headers as required by Horizon (previously known as 'MacBeebEm') are
- automatically added and the resulting files are ready for use with Horizon.
-
- For more details about the 10 byte file headers, see text files for Horizon.
-
- N.B. If there are ROM images on the BBC disk image then these will be
- created WITH a header. Remove this header (with HexEdit say) before using
- with Horizon.
-
- Because *DIR does not work with Horizon, you may have to rename some
- files before some software will work properly.
-
- Usual disclaimers apply.
